About North Texas Water Pros · Your Local Water Treatment Partner

North Texas Water Treatment Specialists

North Texas Water Pros serves homeowners across seven counties north and west of the metroplex — Denton, Wise, Montague, Cooke, Jack, Clay, and Wichita. In town, most homes are on treated municipal water, where hardness and the taste of disinfectant residual are the usual complaints. Outside the city limits, private wells are common, and the issues shift toward iron, sulfur, sediment, and pH. Those are different problems, and the equipment that solves one is often the wrong choice for the other — which is why every recommendation we make starts with knowing what’s in the water.

  • Testing Before Recommendations — We find out what's in your water before we tell you what to buy.

  • Whole-Home Or Point-Of-Use — Treatment at the service entry, at the kitchen sink, or both, depending on what you're after.

  • Municipal And Well Water — Two different problems, two different approaches. We handle both.

  • Honest About Limits — We'll tell you what a system won't fix, not just what it will.

Frequently Asked · Answers To Your Questions

Common Questions About Water Treatment

What's the difference between whole-home filtration and reverse osmosis?

Whole-home filtration treats water at the point it enters the house, so every fixture benefits. Reverse osmosis goes further on dissolved solids but works at one point of use, usually the kitchen sink. Plenty of homes use both.

Do I need a water softener?

If you're seeing scale on fixtures, spotting on glassware, soap that won't lather, or a water heater that's gotten noisy, hardness is the likely cause. A test tells you how hard the water actually is, which determines the size of the system.

Can you treat both well water and city water?

Yes, and they're handled differently. Wells tend toward iron, sulfur, sediment, and pH. Municipal supply tends toward hardness and disinfectant taste.

What does carbon filtration do?

Carbon adsorbs chlorine and many of the compounds behind taste and odor. It doesn't remove hardness — that's a separate process.

How do I know which system is right for my home?

By testing the water. The same symptom can come from more than one cause, and the right equipment follows from the test rather than from the catalog.
